3rd May 2020
Hello good morning and welcome back to my blog.. Today topic is gonna be a little bit interesting because it's gonna be the hot topic since this is the month of harvest festival every May of the year. Every beautiful girl from all the district and village will show them self to compete the unduk Ngadau competition, fighting for the winning position and get to the state level.
Why everybody so obessed with Unduk Ngadau? Well I could be one of the obsseser though, haha.
Of course this event has taken place since 1960s until 2019 and this is one of the symbolism event to respect and in memoir rememberance the spirit of huminodun. Since she was selfless and sacrificed herself for the people of her village to continue their life peacefully with plenty of blessing food and water.. Beside there will be Bobohizan from differ ethnic doing the thanks giving ritual to the spirit of paddy in the KDCA hall.
Somehow, this competition is a platform or a place for someone who like to explore themself, put themself out of comfort zone, learn public speaking, socializing, practicing interpersonal management, be confident, be beautiful, and learn to groom themself and appreciate each other instead of all the negative vibes from the netizen.
It's a good thing though because everybody will start Appreciate and understand their own mother tongue language. It's an advantage to those who speak everyday at home. While it's a challenge and oppurtinity to those who learn and master the mother tougue language which could be go listed endlessly. More then 35 ethnicity languages. Since the new generation is struggling to learn because the parent S no longer emphasize the importance of knowing the mother tougue or practice it at home. But many NGOs is doing their parts by opening schools and some school teach this subject to the children. Even at university have this course to attend.
That's all for today, and keep supporting all the contestant stop judging and start embrace the culture.. In the end it's not about winning but it's about creating memories, preserving the traditional culture and language, and rebuild self confidence in the better state. See you next time.. Brousur..
